Basic technical support

You can see the information about the barcode of the product in the first column; to import the product code (column one), select the "Barcode" field form the drop-down list (see below).

In the second column you see the quantity of items; just like above. To import the information about the quantity of items, select an appropriate field, i.e. "Quantity", from the drop down list.

Proceed in the same manner with every column you wish to import to the database.

  • Columns marked as "Do not import" will not be imported to LoMag inventory management.

After you have selected columns in view of importing data, click LoMag.

Basic technical support is available free of charge for all clients who have the latest version of the software (12 months from the purchase of the software or the update). Support is available through e-mail and directly from the level of LoMag, in which a special function has been added, which notifies the authors of the program in case a problem occurs during the operation of the software. Support is usually provided within several hours on working days, in some cases the time might be prolonged up to 2 working days. Technical support includes the following aspects:

A window informing you that the import has been successful will come up (see below).

  • Information on hardware and software requirements as well as network operation.
  • Information on technical configuration of the program and the database
    • For the data import to be successful, you need 2 fields (columns): barcode and item name. If these elements (columns) are lacking, the import process will not be executed.
    • Program functionality scope, adjustment of settings to the specificity of the user's activity.
    • If you do not type in the amount of items, the program will insert 1 by default.
    • Recovery of the activation key to the program in case it gets lost or does not work.
    • Notifications and errors reported by the program.
  • If you do not type in the price, the program will enter the price established in the item list.
  • Basic technical support does not include:

    • Remote desktop.
    • Training in program operation.
    • Client database analysis.

    The items from the Excel file have been added to the document, the remaining information about the items (such as "Item name", "unit of measurement", "value", etc.) have been automatically filled in by the program.

    7. FIFO and LIFO methods.

Please prepare the following information to help us provide you with efficient support:

  • The currently installed version of LoMag - please check in Help" / "About LoMag".
  • The operating system on which LoMag is installed (e.g. Windows 7 64-bit Version). To check select "properties" on "My computer" icon.
  • FIFO and LIFO are models for material outgoings evaluation. The FIFO model (First In - First Out) is most commonly used. It indicates that the item which will be issued from the warehouse first is the item, which was first received. The LIFO model [last in – first out] indicates that the first item to be issued from the warehouse will be the last one which has been received.

  • Detailed description and screen capture. To make the screen capture please click "Prt Scr" in LoMag and paste it to your e-mail (ctrl+V) or press (ctrl+V) in a Word document and add your description.
